VW advertisement

Here is an advertisement that adds a little humor to what they do. When you first look at this image you are completely confused as to what in the world is happening. But when you look up at the VW sign, you will really they say how they are ONLY specialists in VW's and absolutely nothing else. I like the humor for this advertisement and they really played it up well with the woman's expression, the grease on her face and they power tool in her hair. The image is very bright and crisp. I think it is a successful ad for what they are trying to say.

PSA or Armpits?

Going along with PSA's I think this really gives that effect and feeling of a PSA but really it is an advertisement for Deodorants I love how the image is black and white and very serious. You eye notices the words "15 minutes" and thinks it is a statistic but really it is just talking about her armpits. I like how the ad is a little humorous and I think it is successful. I like the pop of color in the ad and how limited the text is.

RED campaign

 Here is another very strong PSA campaign. This is a campaign focusing on RED for aids all around the world. Every time you buy the red t shirt or the products, the money goes towards eliminating AIDS in africa. With each campaign you see an adjective describing the person, and ending with the letters RED. The ad is very strong They always have celebrities come in and they take images of them to show their support of the campaign. I really like the white and red splotchiness to the advertisement. It adds a certain type of effect. Through each add they continue this color scheme, the photo and the adjective. It is a very strong piece of work.

Canon AD

This is a beautiful advertisement for a canon digitally camera. It is very creative how they took where the lens is and put a nice crisp and clean black and white image. It really works well with what they are advertising. I love the angles and curves of this advertisement as well. The information on the bottom is very small and works very well for the add. I love the pop of red coming through in the add. It really adds a pop to the ad also.

Tabasco Sauce

  Very cool Tabasco sauce ad. I love how they incorporated the fire to express how hot the sauce is. The image works very well on the black background because it appears very bold, which is important since the sauce is very bold in itself. I also like how the text for tabasco is almost glowing. It looks really cool against the black. It's a nice ad. The text below tabasco is a little hard to read but I guess it isn't horrible.

PSA on pregnancy

This PSA is seen for teen pregnancy. They have the bright bold pink against the black to really pop out and direct itself toward women and teenagers. the message on the ad is very strong and it causes every girl who looks at this to really think about the situation. This has become such a big deal lately and many people aren't taking the stand to protect themselves. This PSA is very important. Teenagers should be "changing the world, not changing diapers." (as seen in another PSA for this cause). I think the ad is successful for its target audience. The pink is almost overbearing but if they went lighter it would resemble breast cancer.

It's up to you

 I haven't seen too many of these PSA advertisements but there are a couple. I really like the logo idea of "up to". It is very creative. A lot of these ads have beautiful famous women on the front. I am not sure why she is almost naked. I don't see what the women have to do with cancer but I guess since it is a beautiful person on the cover that normal people recognize we will take the time to read it and then possibly decide to join the movement. It is an interesting advertisement and I almost think for the cause it has, they should find a different way to advertise the serious scenario.

NO MORE PSA

No more is a very strong PSA advertisement campaign that has begun to really grow lately. It speak out against domestic violence and sexual abuse. The ad is very successful with it continuity throughout each piece. The light grays and the bright blue really pop out and you are able to tell exactly what this PSA is standing for. They have any celebrities being the face of this campaign and all of them have extremely serious faces on the front to add a sense of seriousness. also, each ad underneath NO MORE has a quote and they are all very different in each ad.

Simple Bandaid

 Very strong advertisement for 100% water proof bandaids. This image works so well because it shoes the teardrops of a boy who just hurt himself and we can all witness how the teardrops moves around the band aid and down his face. Also this advertisement is very clean. The photo is absolutely beautiful. It really captured the expression and emotion of the boy. His eyes really pop and it is such an interesting line of sight. All they had to do to make this piece work for an ad is add bandaid to the bottom and say exactly what they were advertising. Very awesome ad.

Jewelry repair

This is a very nice advertisement. I like the purple to blue gradient. The only thing is, this is an advertisement for jewelry repair and it almost comes across as a surgical advertisement. The font choice helps take the path of jewelry but I could see how the ad could be misleading. I like there they placed the text. The tagline is very bold and directly underneath you have all the information lined up perfectly with the text above. Very clean piece. This is an ad for Goverb Jewelers.
