Striped Portrait

This is such an interesting photograph. I love how they played with the lines coming through the shades or whatever it is. It gives the image such a distinct feel to it. Her hair is so dark but it all contrast so wonderfully with her light body. It has a good line of sight as the image is dark and flows down to the bottom right corner. The lighter space has its own shadows with them also that continue to make this image so nice. I was unable to see who took this photo.

Black and White Umbrella

This is an absolutely beautiful photograph. The different line of sights in this image are so visually interesting. The light reflecting off the metal rods really contrast well against the umbrella in the background. It is very interesting also with how the shadows reflect with the metal rods. I found this image on HDancer's Photos Blog. I love how this image is a closeup and taken at a certain angle that follows the rule of thirds rather than taking the normal ordinary photo of an umbrella.

Cityscape

This is an interesting photo. They photographer took the image at a different angle than we normally see to get a more dynamic view of the city. The image is a little dark so it is hard to see everything, but it is also very interesting. There is no breathing room but it works because it is an art piece in and of itself. There is so much going on with all the different shadows and lights. There is much contrast going on here. I was unable to see who took this image but it is nice.

Cityscape BW

LOVE the reflection of the buildings on the water. The lights of the city are so vibrant and beautiful. The clouds add a beautiful touch to the image as well. I love how dark the image is but how it lights up from the city lights.

BW portrait

This is the kind of portrait I want to take in a way. I love the dark contrast in the image. There is so much detail in the face with the freckles and the eyes. I was thinking of using my boyfriends because he has very blue eyes and a lot of facial hair and I feel like it will shows up very good and the amount of detail on his face with the black and white.

BW anachronism

This is a silly post but it helps give you an idea of what an anachronism is Something of a certain time period placed in a different time period. These two obviously dont go together, because it is a woman from the old times, using modern port-a-potties. The quality of the image is the best. The black and white has no strong contrast and the woman kind of just blends in with the potties. Although it shows a good sense of anachronism, I dont think it is the best photo.

BW city scape

The lighting is wonderful. I love the contrast with the city and the sky. The city is almost a silhouette, against the bottom of the sky. The city is dark but yet you are still able to see the building in a little detail. Also, the way the clouds reflect on the water helps bring out the city and bride as well. There is a big difference between the light and dark and it is shown wonderfully here.
